Expression of Interest | Warehouse Team Member

Join our team as a Warehouse Member, where you will handle inventory and fulfil orders in a fully air-conditioned, climate-controlled facility that prioritises your comfort and energy throughout the day.

Primary Duties:

• Organise and categorise incoming book shipments by genre, library branch, and SKU to ensure accurate distribution across the Brisbane network.

• Inspect books for damage or wear to maintain the high standard of the library collection.

• Utilise handheld scanners to update inventory records and track book movements in real-time.

• Efficiently pack and label crates for daily dispatch to suburban libraries, ensuring timely delivery for community readers.

• This is a 100% standing role; you will be on your feet for the duration of your shift (excluding scheduled breaks), navigating the sorting floor and warehouse aisles.

• To maintain a safe work environment, you are required to wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including high-visibility vests and any site-specific safety gear.

• Safety is non-negotiable. You must provide and wear compliant steel-cap work boots to protect against heavy crates, pallet jacks, and manual handling hazards.

• You will frequently lift, reach, and carry stacks of books and library crates, requiring good functional strength and posture.
